$65,000 granted to local nonprofits
Plates for Change recently finished distributing funds to the grant recipients from this year's "Taste - A Plates for Change event.” It was exciting to tour some of the facilities and learn about the incredible work these organizations are doing. All of our grant recipients are working tirelessly to feed food insecure families in Southern New Hampshire and Maine. This year's grant recipients were –
The event on June 22nd was a big success. After two years of canceling due to Covid, fewer tickets sold to create more space, and set up costs much higher than previous years, we were still able to grant out $65,000 to our nine grants, which equals what we distributed at the previous 25th year event in 2019. In total, this group has raised more than $2 million dollars.
